Terms of Service

• You must be at least 18 years old to use resale.bd.
• You must be a resident of Bangladesh or conducting transactions within Bangladesh.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• Accounts registered with false information will be terminated without notice.

• Each person may only create one account on the Platform.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account at mail@sojibahmmed.com.
• resale.bd will never ask for your password via email, SMS, or phone.
• Seller accounts require NID (National ID) verification before posting listings.

By listing a product on resale.bd, sellers agree to:

• Only list items they personally own and have the legal right to sell.
• Provide accurate descriptions, honest photos, and correct pricing.
• Clearly state the item's condition: New, Like New, Good, Fair, or For Parts.
• Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours.
• Ship or hand over the item within the agreed timeframe after payment confirmation.
• Not list prohibited items (see Section 8).
• Accept returns if the item was materially misrepresented in the listing.
• Maintain a minimum seller rating of 3.0/5.0 to keep their account active.

Buyers agree to:

• Pay the seller directly at handover only — never send advance payment.
• Inspect items carefully in person before any money changes hands.
• Not raise false or fraudulent disputes.
• Provide accurate delivery address information.
• Leave honest reviews after completing a transaction.

• Listing is free. resale.bd takes no commission on any sale.
• Risk scores are automated, probabilistic, and advisory only — they are not a guarantee of a seller's honesty and do not replace your own inspection.
• Because no funds pass through the Platform, resale.bd cannot reverse, refund, or recover any payment made between users.

• All sellers must complete NID verification before their first listing goes live.
• Verification is a one-time process using your Bangladesh National ID card.
• Verified sellers receive a ✓ Verified Seller badge on their profile.
• NID data is encrypted and used only for identity verification purposes.
• Providing false NID information is a criminal offense under the Digital Security Act 2018.

The following are strictly prohibited on resale.bd:

Violations may result in immediate account termination and reporting to Bangladesh law enforcement.

1. Contact the other party first: Use the in-app messaging to resolve issues directly.
2. Open a dispute: If unresolved within 48 hours, open a formal dispute through the Platform.
3. resale.bd review: Our team will review evidence (photos, messages, delivery proof) within 5 business days.
4. Decision: We can suspend listings, block accounts and provide transaction evidence for a police GD, but we cannot recover funds paid directly between users.
5. Arbitration: For disputes above ৳50,000, parties may seek arbitration under the Bangladesh Arbitration Act 2001.
6. Courts: Legal disputes shall be governed by the courts of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.

• Buyers and sellers may leave reviews after completed transactions.
• Reviews must be honest and based on actual transaction experience.
• False, defamatory, or manipulated reviews will be removed.
• resale.bd reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our community guidelines.

• Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Do not move conversations off the Platform to evade Scam Alarm screening.
• Do not spam listings or post duplicate items.
• Do not scrape or copy Platform data without written permission.
• Off-platform conversations that result in fraud cannot be investigated — we hold no evidence of them.

resale.bd acts as a marketplace intermediary. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by Bangladesh law, resale.bd shall not be liable for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of items listed.
• The accuracy of listings created by sellers.
• The ability of sellers to sell or buyers to pay.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the transaction value of the disputed item.

resale.bd may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. Users may delete their accounts at any time from Account Settings. Termination does not affect open fraud reports or moderation decisions, which are resolved per Section 9.

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
