• • "Courier OTP" requests — never share your OTP. Couriers don't need it.
• • Too-cheap iPhones / laptops — verify IMEI, demand in-person inspection.
• • Fake screenshots of bank deposits. Confirm directly in your app.
• • Pressure to chat off-platform (WhatsApp-only sellers) — you lose dispute protection.

• • Read the AI Scam Shield risk badge on the listing before you travel.
• • Meet sellers in a public, well-lit place. Police-station car parks are a common safe-meet spot in Dhaka.
• • Inspect the item fully — power it on, check serial numbers, run a diagnostics app for phones / laptops.
• • Verify NID-verified status before sending any money.
• • Keep all communication inside resale.bd chat for dispute evidence.

• • Counterfeit goods (fake brand-name phones, watches, bags).
• • Stolen items, smuggled goods, fake currency.
• • Weapons, ammunition, explosives.
• • Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, betel-nut products.
• • Wildlife, ivory, endangered species.
• • Adult / explicit content.
• • Government-issued documents (NID cards, passports).
• • Anything illegal under Bangladeshi law.

resale.bd never holds your money, so we cannot refund a deal — you pay the seller directly at handover. What we can do, and do fast: suspend the listing, freeze the seller's other ads, and hand you a dated evidence log of the listing and chat that you can take to a police GD. Report within 48 hours of the deal for the strongest evidence trail.
